American Board of Dental Hypnosis |
Officers | Who Are We? |
The American Board Dental Hypnosis (ABDH) provides certification of competence in clinical hypnosis to dentists. It is the approved accrediting body sanctioned by the two major scientific hypnosis societies, the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH) and The Society of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis (SCEH). Its board certification provides the diplomate with the highest level of credentialing in dental hypnosis. | |

The purpose of the ABDH is to encourage the study, application, and
teaching of clinical hypnosis and the application of hypnotic technique
in all disciplines of dentistry. The Board has established standards of
competence for dentists who voluntarily seek recognition for their
abilities and clinical interests in the application of hypnosis to their
specialty area of dentistry. The ABDH encourages and supports research
and education in dental hypnosis, and many members are active in
teaching, mentorship, and leadership positions in ASCH and SCEH, as well
as in their own dental specialties.
